„Teams from MApN, in cooperation with specialists from the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have searched the vicinity of Periprava, Tulcea county, where they have picked up fragments of a Russian drone, and they will be further analyzed according to legal procedures,” the source said.

On Sunday, MApN forces carried out a search for possible drone fragments that may have fallen after the attacks carried out by Russian forces on civilian and port infrastructure targets in Ukraine, near the border with Romania.

The Romanian Ministry states that in the coming period searches will be carried out in the vicinity of Caraorman village, where another possible impact zone has been reported.

Both the area under investigation near Periprava and the possible impact zone near Caraorman are located in swampy areas, outside the localities, with no infrastructure elements affected, the MApN furtehr specifies.
