Chamber approves Public Prosecution Service joining EU network of prosecutors general

At a plenary session on Wednesday, the Chamber of Deputies passed a bill approving the Prosecutor’s Office with the Supreme Court of Romania, part of the Public Prosecution Service, joining the network of Prosecutors General or equivalent institutions attached to the Supreme Judicial Courts of the Member States of the European Union (NADAL) as a full member.

Starting with 2024, the payment of the annual participation fee of the Public Prosecution Service as a full NADAL member within the limit of the RON equivalent of the amount of EUR 2,000 per year will be provided for in the annual budget of the Public Prosecution Service.

The bill will be submitted to the Senate for final approval as the decision-making body in this case.
