The president of the Senate, PNL (National Liberal Party) leader Nicolae Ciuca, on Wednesday stated, 23 years after the attack of September 11, 2001 in the USA, that solidarity and unity in the face of terror – regardless of where it is spread – represents the only way to a safer world.
„We commemorate 23 years since the attack of September 11, 2001, which changed the course of history and changed humanity’s perspective on terrorism: a terrible scourge that can strike anywhere, even in the economic heart of the most powerful country. The American nation moved forward, in time, mourning his victims and taking measures so that such an event does not happen again,” Ciuca said on Facebook.
The president of the Senate emphasised that Romania was and remains in solidarity with the American strategic partner, just like the entire democratic world.
„We honour the memory of those who lost their lives on that tragic day and our hearts are with their families and survivors. Romania was and remains in solidarity with the American strategic partner, just like the entire democratic world. Solidarity and unity in the face of terror – regardless of where it is spread – represents the only way to a safer world. State security and safety are the central pillars of my presidential vision for the coming years. We can build anything in our society, if people are guaranteed to live in peace and safety,” Nicolae Ciuca also said.
