UniCredit Bank has entered into a partnership with the Romanian Fintech Association (RoFintech), an organisation made up of companies founded by Romanian entrepreneurs that develop innovative technological solutions in the financial field in order to support its Romanian fintech members.
„The partnership with the Romanian Fintech Association follows two main directions. On the one hand, UniCredit Bank supports the Romanian fintech members of this organisation to develop faster and grow. On the other hand, by collaborating with fintech startups, banks can be one step ahead of customer changes and preferences, adapting their offers and services much faster,” UniCredit Bank Retail Executive Vice President Antoaneta Curteanu is quoted as saying in a press statement released by the bank on Thursday.
According to the chairman of the Romanian Fintech Association, Cosmin Cosma, this partnership is an important step towards the integration of fintech solutions in the traditional banking sector in Romania. „Collaborating with a renowned bank, such as UniCredit, gives our fintechs access to valuable resources and development opportunities, while strengthening Romania’s position as a regional hub for financial innovation,” said Cosma.
By capitalising on digital opportunities, UniCredit Bank is said to offer fast and efficient solutions that anticipate and respond to the needs of its customers.
The Romanian Fintech Association (RoFintech) is a non-profit organisation that supports and promotes the fintech industry in Romania, bringing together companies and professionals in the field in a collaborative framework for continuous development and innovation.
Established in early 2020, RoFintech today has over 45 members and support partners and is actively involved in promoting partnerships between commercial banks, technology companies and authorities. RoFintech is also a founding member of the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA), which brings together Europe’s most important fintech associations and hubs.
