Justice Ministry releases ‘Guide on violence and sexual harassment’

Published on

The Justice Ministry drafted and published a guide outlining where, how, when and to whom victims of violence and sexual harassment can turn to, Justice Minister Alina Gorghiu announced on Monday.

„Take a moment and read the Guide on violence and sexual harassment. This is how you help yourself in need, how you can help a colleague and any other victim of violence and sexual abuse or of any other kind. The Justice Ministry has created this Guide in a very simple form, in a form that is accessible to you, to everyone. This Guide will be published today (Monday – editor’s note) on the website of the Justice Ministry and will show you where, how, when and to whom you can turn to, what the legislation is and what rights you have. There are laws, there are levers, there are instruments supporting and defending any victim in Romania. A lot of courage is needed from anyone to address the authorities. I urge you not to remain indifferent, we all have to help a victim in difficulty,” said Justice Minister Alina Gorghiu, in a video message published on her Facebook page.

The guide can be accessed at https://www.just.ro/drepturile-victimelor-infractiunilor/.
