Eight trucks from the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Arad, ISU Bihor, ISU Cluj and ISU Sibiu went on Wednesday morning to one of the warehouses of the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Problems in Ilfov County, to load the bedding materials intended to support the communities in Galati County that were severely affected by the recent floods.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), 500 beds, 500 mattresses, 500 pillows, 500 sleeping bags, 1,000 pillowcases and 1,000 sheets will be carried.

„The transportation of these materials will provide the necessary logistics to restore living conditions for the people affected, thus contributing to the ongoing efforts to assist and restore the affected areas,” the source said.

The action is part of a rapid and coordinated mobilisation at national level, in order to provide humanitarian aid and logistical support for citizens in regions affected by floods.

In Galati County, about 1,000 firefighters from 27 units subordinated to the IGSU are working in support of rescuers in the county.
