Supreme Council for National Defence to discuss Ukraine war, Moldova partnership, army endowment

Published on

The Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) is convened at the Cotroceni Palace on Thursday by President Klaus Iohannis.

According to the Presidential Administration, the agenda includes topics on the stage and perspectives of the conflict in Ukraine following the illegal and unjustified aggression of the Russian Federation and the implications for Romania, as well as the opportunities provided by the new geopolitical context for the consolidation of the Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Moldova.

In this sense, ensuring the irreversibility of the neighbouring country’s European path is evoked.

The CSAT members will also discuss the National Plan for the Implementation of the Civil Pact in Common Security and Defence Policy, as well as the Endowment Plan for the Romanian Army in the period 2025-2030.
