Strong winds close ports in Romania

Ports were closed on Friday in Romania due to strong winds, according to the Infotraffic Centre of the Romanian Police General Inspectorate.

Thus, manoeuvres for maritime and inland transport in the ports of Constanta North, Constanta South and Mangalia have been suspended.

Constanta County is under a code yellow warning for winds picking up speed.

According to the weather forecast, on Friday, between 10:00hrs and 23:00hrs, in Dobrogea, in the eastern half of Muntenia and in the south of Banat, winds will pick up speed, with gusts of 50 – 55 km/h and as high as 60 – 65 km/h.
