Ecopolitic Media SRL has implemented, starting with April 2024, the project „The Prut Bridge – Romania-Republic of Moldova twinned localities”, financed by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM), of the Romanian Government.
In the framework of the project, 10 journalistic materials in video and text format have been realized on the theme of town twinning and cooperation relations between the localities on the left and right side of the Prut (interviews with 10 mayors/vice mayors of the following localities in the Republic of Moldova twinned with Romanian localities: Mateuți, Cimislia, Meșeni, Leova, Stefan Voda, Strășeni, Costești, Ialoveni and Razeni), with the aim of preserving and affirming the identity of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, by promoting Romania’s efforts and Romanian values in the Republic of Moldova.

Journalistic materials in text format on the twinning and cooperation relations of some of the localities on the left and right side of the Prut can be followed on online news platforms in the Republic of Moldova, such as: deschide.md, ziarulnational.md, the websites and facebook pages of ecopolitic.ro and pressonline.ro.
In recent years, the representatives of several localities in the Republic of Moldova have expressed their desire to have as many twinning with Romanian localities as possible, which is also observed in the interviews conducted, where all the representatives of the 10 localities interviewed stated that they would like to have twinning, mentioning also the extraordinary cooperation with the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova.
They also emphasized that the citizens are very open to new twinning, new cooperation agreements, and appealed to the Romanian municipalities that have sufficient financial resources to share them with the municipalities of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, other mayors thanked the Romanian municipalities with which they are twinned for their support, pointing out the benefits of twinning.
