More than 45,000 believers from Romania and from abroad are standing in a specially arranged aisle and waiting to worship in the canopy of the Metropolitan Court, where there is the shrine with the relics of St. Parascheva and the shrine with the relics of St. Pantelimon.
According to the organisers, since October 8, since the beginning of the pilgrimage organised by the Metropolitan Church of Moldavia and Bucovina for the feast of St. Parascheva, which is celebrated on October 14, 195,000 people have passed through the canopy of the Metropolitan Court.
Because of the cold during the night, the number of people who sat in line has dropped, currently around 45,000.
The number of pilgrims worshipping at the shrine is expected to increase during the day, when the temperature is forecast to reach 16 degrees Celsius.
Keeping the tradition, on October 14, the feast day of St. Parascheva, on a podium in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral, on the Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard, the Liturgical Mass will be celebrated, an event attended by clergy from Romania and abroad and pilgrims from all over the country. Several large screens will be placed on the boulevard, so that the entire religious ceremony can be watched.
