Right Force party chairman Ludovic Orban, while on a visit to Focsani on Saturday, said that he is the only presidential candidate who knows how to fight the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and who has proved that he knows how to beat the PSD in the elections.

„It will be a complicated battle and I really do not understand the confidence of some candidates. I know how to fight the PSD and I have proved over time that I know how to beat the PSD in elections. This requires an extraordinary work, it requires a strategy to counter all the abuses and the thefts that PSD makes during every campaign. It also means mobilising all the people who understand that PSD is bad for Romania in elections, especially in the second round of presidential elections. I really have serious reasons to say that I will beat Ciolacu in the second round. Others are also talking, they have taken after me,” said presidential candidate Ludovic Orban.

In his turn, MP Ion Stefan explained why his party believes that Ludovic Orban is the only presidential candidate who can defeat Marcel Ciolacu in the second round, arguing that the other parties would never vote for the PSD.

Ludovic Orban underlined that calls on the liberal voters as early as the first round to get their votes, maintaining that they feel betrayed and humiliated for „the National Liberal Party (PNL) being part of a government in which the PSD is the first violin.”

„(…) I am calling directly on Romanian citizens who believe in liberal values, Romanian citizens who believe in conservative, Christian-democratic values. Basically, we want to ensure the representation of all citizens who have these political options, to reconcile them, to ensure effective representation. (…) I have also demonstrated that I have the courage to take on the European Parliament, the European Council, the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, and I have managed to win against them at the European Court of Justice, representing the interests of the Romanian state, Romanian citizens and Romanian carriers,” Orban said.

In his opinion, PSD is „selling illusions” and their plan in these elections is to „completely occupy Romania.”

Ludovic Orban was in Focsani on Saturday, on his first visit to the country after filing his candidacy for the presidential elections.
