Many state-owned enterprises have paid their tax debts and are already on operating at a profit, Minister of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Stefan-Radu Oprea told a specialist event on Monday.
According to him, the government has a new approach to state-owned enterprises and companies that „were somewhere on the verge of insolvency, bankruptcy”, so that they no longer expect only public funds, but also to earn a profit from production under new contracts and to pay their tax debts, said Oprea.
He gave as an example in this regard Plafar, Romero, Salrom and the mining area of Baita, companies that have paid their debts and started to make a profit.
Ziarul Financiar organised on Monday an event called „The most dynamic companies in Romania: Keep growing!”
