The organization of the Indagra event is a disastrous one, in the conditions in which, at the fair, there are no products processed in Romania, nor can Romanian products be tasted, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin Barbu, said on Friday, at Indagra.

„I didn’t want to come to Indagra today and not even until Sunday. I didn’t want to be here because I’m very disappointed with the organization of this event. I’m disappointed with the way our processors and farmers have access to this fair.As i entered the Romexpo courtyard, 7 years ago, when I was general director of the National Land Improvement Agency, the entire pavilion on the left was full of Romanian producers and processors. If you arrive at the fair at Indagra, you won’t be able to taste a cheese you find a product processed in Romania, this shows us the fact that the organization of this event – and under whose patronage this event is – is a disastrous one,” Florin Barbu pointed out.

The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that the Indagra event should be taken over by the Ministry of Agriculture.

„I tell you honestly, I am very disappointed. If I will be Minister of Agriculture again, I promise you that Indagra will change radically. If we, as the Ministry of Agriculture, do not take over this fair, we will move it to another part,” the Minister added.

Indagra, the largest fair in the field of agriculture, viticulture, horticulture and animal husbandry, takes place between October 30 and November 3, in pavilion B2 of the Romexpo complex, in the same period as Indagra Food – International fair for the food industry, pavilion B1.
