The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informed on Thursday that, according to the information confirmed by the Spanish authorities, two other Romanian citizens were identified as having died, due to the floods that affected the Valencian Community two weeks ago.

Until now, as a result of the meteorological phenomena that affected the Kingdom of Spain, nine Romanian citizens have died. The rest of the people reported as missing have been found and are safe.
The representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana continue the dialogue with Romanian citizens and remain ready to provide consular assistance, depending on requests. Also, the Logistics Center for providing assistance and protection for the benefit of Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena remains operational and operates from Monday to Friday, between 9.00 and 17.00 and Saturday-Sunday, between 10.00 and 17.00 ,00 – 15,00, at Plaza del Alfonso el Magnanimo number 12, Valencia.
The representatives of the diplomatic mission of Romania in Madrid and of the consular office remain in permanent contact with the competent Spanish authorities regarding the Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena.
