President Iohannis believes presidential election should be organised fairly quickly, delay would not help

Published on

President Klaus Iohannis said on Wednesday that the presidential elections should be organized „fairly quickly”.

„I believe they should be organised fairly quickly. I don’t think a delay would help anything. On the other hand, I didn’t expect, nor did it happen for the outgoing government to clarify this issue. I hope that the new Government will be formed as soon as possible and that it will tackle this issue promptly,” said the president in Brussels.

President Klaus Iohannis will attend the European Council meeting on Thursday.
