EC VP Minzatu: EU understands Romania remains a strong, stable state with priorities aligned with those of the EU

The European Union understands that Romania remains a strong, stable state with priorities aligned with those of the EU, European Commission Vice-President responsible for social rights and skills, quality jobs and preparedness Roxana Minzatu said after her meeting on Tuesday with Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu, according to the vice-president’s office.

One of the topics addressed during the meeting concerned the automotive industry, a vital sector also for Romania. „In this regard, the European Commission will launch a strategic dialogue with industry representatives at the European level. As Executive Vice President of the European Commission, I will be part of this effort to support industries in creating new jobs and developing new investments in Europe,” said Minzatu.

Roxana Minzatu and Emil Hurezeanu also discussed the Green Industrialisation Plan, which the European Commission will launch soon, and how Romania can contribute to and benefit from clear priorities within this framework, as well as developments in Ukraine and Moldova, both candidate countries to the European Union.

Moreover, another topic discussed was the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2028-2034.
