Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday with an increase on most indices, and the turnover was 3.51 million lei (707,029 euros) after 30 minutes of the session’s start.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an appreciation of 0.06%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks at BVB, also showed an increase of 0.06%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, was up 0.11%, while the investment funds benchmark, BET-BK, appreciated by 0.11%.

At the same time, the BET-FI index of the SIFs recorded an increase of 0.44%, while the BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, showed an appreciation of 0.09%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.20%.

According to BVB data, the largest stock increases were recorded by companies Condmag (+12.5%), Altur (+2.94%), and Transelectrica (+2.24%).

On the other hand, stocks in Romcab (-14.86%), Sinteza (-14.52%), and Chimcomplex SA Borzesti (-1.8%) were declining.
