Ilie Bolojan tells Maia Sandu in phone conversation that Moldova is not alone

Acting President Ilie Bolojan had a telephone conversation on Wednesday with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, who congratulated him on taking office.

„Today I had a telephone conversation with Mrs. Maia Sandu, the President of the Republic of Moldova, who congratulated me on taking over the interim position of President of Romania. I thanked her for her good thoughts and for the sincere friendship between our countries,” Bolojan wrote on his Facebook account.

He stated that Romania and the Republic of Moldova are linked by a special relationship, based on a common history, European values and development projects, and stressed the continuation of the collaboration between the two countries.

„We will continue to work closely for the good of the citizens on both banks of the Prut. Moldova is not alone. We are together, in the same fight for a better future!”, concluded the acting president.

Ilie Bolojan took over the mandate of acting president of Romania on Wednesday.
