Over 90 people were rescued, in the last 24 hours, by the rescuers, 37 of them being transported to the hospital by ambulance, Salvamont Romania announced on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, the National Dispatch received 89 calls requesting the emergency intervention of rescuers, according to a post on Salvamont’s Facebook page.
The most requests, 12, were for Salvamont Brasov Municipality, followed by Salvamont Lupeni, with nine calls, and Salvamont Sinaia and Salvamont Brasov County, with eight interventions each.
„In the case of these interventions, 92 people were saved. Of these, 37 were transported by SAJ, SMURD or Salvamont ambulances to the hospital, and the rest were given permission to be transported by the cars belonging to them. We also received 27 calls requesting advice and information about different tourist routes in the mountain area and about the ski areas. The Salvamont Romania teams urge you to prudence and responsibility in mountain activities and invites you to be with them in the campaign to reduce the number of mountain accidents,” Salvamont mentions.
