Air traffic in winter conditions at Bucharest airports; possible delays generated by need to de-ice aircraft

Published on

Air traffic at the two Bucharest airports is taking place in conditions of blizzard snow, but in normal parameters, according to flight plans, the National Bucharest Airports Company (CNAB) announced on Tuesday.

According to the quoted source, at Henri Coanda International Airport Bucharest and Bucharest Baneasa – Aurel Vlaicu International Airport there are no flights canceled for weather reasons, but flights may be delayed due to the need to de-icing the aircraft, which is carried out after passengers have boarded.

„The runways, platforms and taxiways of the aircraft are open and operational. We constantly intervene with our own equipment to maintain the movement surfaces in good operating conditions at both airports of the Capital. The aircraft land and take off safely,” CNAB representatives assure.
