Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Thursday that there are premises for an excellent agricultural year in Romania after recent snowfall that fell in the country’s ravaged by drought.
„In agriculture, data show that the last snowfalls fell exactly in areas with a high water deficit after last year’s drought. We now have the premises for a very good agricultural year,” Ciolacu said at the beginning of a government meeting.
He also welcomed the intention of the Romgaz natural gas corporation to take over the largest producer of chemical fertilisers in the country.
„Another important piece of news is that Romgaz wants to take over the largest producer of chemical fertilisers in the country. I fully support the project, it is the best solution for our farmers,” the prime minister said.
