Romania declares Russian Federation’s military, air, naval attache in Bucharest, deputy personae non gratae

Romania has decided to declare personae non gratae on its soil the military, air and naval attaché of the Russian Federation in Bucharest, as well as his deputy, for carrying out activities running contrary to the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the country’s Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) said on Wednesday.

According to MAE, the Russian party on Wednesday was informed about the decision on a summoning to MAE,a at the order of Romania’s Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu, of the charge d’affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bucharest.
