The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened with declines on most indices on Friday, with turnover reaching 9.5 million lei (1.9 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decline of 0.11%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on BVB, dropped 0.09%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which tracks the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.07%, while the benchmark index for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 0.15%.
The BET-FI index of the Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) registered an increase of 0.22%, while BET-NG, which tracks the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, posted a slight increase of 0.02%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.55%.
According to BVB data, the biggest increases in stock values were recorded by Ropharma (+6%), Rompetrol Rafinare (+5.15%), and Arobs Transilvania Software (+4.28%).
On the other hand, the stocks of Romcab (-9.59%), Socep (-2.80%) and Conpet (-2.55%) were on the decline.
