Calin Georgescu told his supporters on Tuesday that they are the ones who must choose what they want for the future and stated that he hopes from now on they will do it with all their conscience.

„My dears, you are the ones who must choose what you want for the future and I hope that from now on you will do it with all your conscience. It has been an honor for me to serve you with all my being. We are the people! We are Romania! Thank you,” Georgescu wrote on Facebook.

On Tuesday, the judges of the Constitutional Court (CCR) unanimously rejected the appeal filed by Calin Georgescu, upholding the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau to invalidate his candidacy for the presidential elections in May.

„Following the deliberations, with unanimous votes, the Constitutional Court rejected the appeals filed against the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau no. 18D of March 9, 2025 on the rejection of the registration of the independent candidacy of Mr. Calin Georgescu in the 2025 presidential election in Romania, as well as of the electoral symbol. The decisions are final and are communicated to the Central Electoral Bureau”, the CCR announced in a press release.
