Presidential Election 2025/ Constitutional Court rejects appeals against Crin Antonescu’s candidacy

The Constitutional Court of Romania unanimously rejected on Wednesday the appeals filed against the registration of Crin Antonescu’s candidacy for May’s presidential election.

The Central Electoral Bureau decided on Tuesday to register Crin Antonescu’s candidacy in the presidential election.

Crin Antonescu, the candidate of the „Romania Forward” electoral alliance, filed his candidacy last Sunday, with a list signed by 1.7 million supporters.

Also on Wednesday, an appeal against the non-registration of Maria Marcu’s candidacy was also rejected.
