Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Friday’s session with gains on most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s session with gains on most indices, with the turnover reaching 2.17 million lei (437,132 euros) after 30 minutes from the start of trading.

The main index, BET, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an appreciation of 0.36%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks at BVB, recorded an increase of 0.33%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.17%, while the benchmark for investment funds’ returns, BET-BK, advanced 0.11%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs showed a depreciation of 1.16%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, registered an increase of 0.45%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.12%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in stock values were recorded by Artego (+4.38%), Romcab (+2.69%) and Electrica (+1.43%).

On the other hand, stocks in decline included Comcm (-4.79%), Longshield Investment Group (-2.96%) and Altur (-1.56%).
