The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s session with increases on most indices and with transactions totalling 8.86 million RON (1.78 million euros), 30 minutes into the trading.
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, saw a slight increase of 0.01%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, also saw an increase of 0.01%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid titles, gained 0.16%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, inched 0.09%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs rose by 1.87%, while the BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, went down 0.18%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was also down 0.66%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Compa (+3.67%), Longshield Investment Group (+3.65%) and Patria Bank (+3.13%).
On the other hand, the shares of UCM Resita (-3.70%), Romcab (-3.26%) and Oil Terminal (-2.13%) decreased.
