Independent presidential candidate Nicusor Dan said on Sunday, after discussions with supporters in Chisinau, that EU accession of the Republic of Moldova will be an absolute priority of his mandate as President of Romania.

„Today, we discussed with supporters in Chisinau the importance of close ties between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Over one million Moldovan citizens are also Romanian citizens, and the Republic of Moldova is our closest ally. The accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union will be an absolute priority of my mandate as President of Romania,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
