Tate brothers, summoned at DIICOT headquarters for extension of judicial control (sources)

Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were summoned on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), where the prosecutor in charge of the case will announce that he will extend the judicial control measure, judicial sources told AGERPRES.

The Tate brothers recently returned to Romania, after a visit to the US, with the consent of the DIICOT prosecutor investigating them in the case of human trafficking and rape.

Andrew and Tristan Tate, with dual citizenship, British and American, were indicted by DIICOT on June 20, 2023, on charges of constituting an organized criminal group, trafficking in persons, rape, illegal access to computer system, assault or other violence.

Subsequently, in December 2024, the courts quashed the prosecutors’ indictment, and the case was returned to DIICOT for the reopening of the criminal prosecution.

A few days ago, Andrew Tate declared that he would remain in Romania for a few weeks, but that he could leave whenever he wanted.

„I am a free person, I am not condemned by anything, just like you. I can go on any vacation I want. I can go to Greece, I can go to Australia, wherever I like (…). If they call me [the Polic, editor’s note], I come. If they don’t, I’ll be busy living my life. I think anyone with a brain realizes this case is going nowhere. It’s an administrative, bureaucratic situation. We can talk about how it’s unfair that they tried to destroy my life for three years, but God gives us certain things to test us, and I believe God gave me this situation,” said Andrew Tate.
