Contractors from Romania, Italy, Turkey and Ukraine bid for construction of Craiova-Filiasi motorway Section 3

Contractors from Romania, Italy, Turkey and Ukraine have submitted bids for the construction of Section 3 of the Craiova-Filiasi motorway, a contract worth RON 2.71 billion (VAT excluded), Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Sorin Grindeanu announced on Tuesday.

„5 bids have been submitted for the construction of the 3rd stretch of the Craiova – Filiasi motorway! Contractors from Romania, Italy, Turkey and Ukraine are competing for the award of the RON 2.71 billion contract, which provides for the design and execution of this segment (21.7 km) within 34 months (10 months for design and 24 months for execution),” Grindeanu wrote on Facebook.

The contract also requires the construction of a viaduct, a passage in the area of the Racarii de Sus junction, four short-term parking lots, each with eight parking spaces with the possibility of fast charging of electric cars.

The contracts for all three sections of the Craiova-Filiasi motorway (46.4 km) are in the bid assessment phase, Grindeanu emphasized.

The general director of the National Road Infrastructure Management Company Cristian Pistol said on Facebook that the bidders are: Pivden Motorway Association (leader) – Drum Asfalt (Ukraine – Romania); Erbasu Construction Association (leader) – Concelex – X-Way Infrastructure (Romania); Nurol Construction Association (leader) – Nurol Insaat ve Ticaret (Romania – Turkey); Ozaltin Insaat Ticaret ve Sanayi Association (leader) – Strade Bauunternehmung – Infravis (Turkey – Romania) and Webuild (Italy).
