The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session with decreases on most indices, with turnover reaching 2.57 million RON (518,270 EUR) 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a decrease of 0.02%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, was down 0.03%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index, BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.01%, while the benchmark index for investment funds, BET-BK, increased 0.01%.
The BET-FI index, which represents the SIFs, recorded an increase of 0.14%, and the BET-NG index, tracking the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, went down by 0.09%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was 0.21% higher.
According to BVB data, the biggest increases in stock values were recorded by Romcarbon (+13.80%), Lion Capital (+2.37%) and Vrancart (+1.92%).
Conversely, the stocks of Socep (-3.81%), Sinteza (-3.67%) and Conpet (-0.99%) were in decline.
