The meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defense (CSAT) chaired by acting President Ilie Bolojan began on Wednesday at the Cotroceni Palace, with the agenda including Romania’s participation in the ReArm Europe Plan – Readiness 2030 and the national defense bill.
Participating in the meeting are Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, National Defense Minister Angel Tilvar, Minister of the Interior Catalin Predoiu, Justice Minister Radu Marinescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Emil Hurezeanu, Finance Minister Tanczos Barna, Minister of Economy, Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Bogdan Ivan, a representative of the Foreign Intelligence Service, interim director of the Romanian Intelligence Service Razvan Ionescu, Chief of Defense Staff Gheorghita Vlad, CSAT Secretary Mihai Somordolea, presidential advisor Cristian Diaconescu, the Presidential Administration informed.
The Presidential Administration announced last week that acting President Ilie Bolojan had called the CSAT meeting that was set to discuss topics related to: Romania’s participation in the ReArm Europe Plan – Readiness 2030; Romania’s national defense bill; the national plan on military mobility; the bill on specific measures for the implementation of national security projects in the field of hydropower; the national strategic vision in the space field.
The previous CSAT meeting took place on March 28 and was the first chaired by acting President Ilie Bolojan.
