Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher across most indices on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s session with gains across most indices, while turnover reached 3.64 million lei (717,667 euros) after the first 20 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.04%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, rose 0.04%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the top 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.02%, while the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, appreciated 0.06%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of financial investment companies (SIFs), showed a decline of 0.33%, and the BET-NG index, covering 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced 0.09%.

On the other hand, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.14%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Carbochim (6.9%), Vrancart (+6.48%), and Fondul Deschis de Investitii ETF Energie Patria-Tradeville (+3.38%).

At the same time, declines were seen in the shares of Sinteza (-4.46%), Longshield Investment Group (-2.61%), and Aquila Part Prod (-0.97%).
