Palace of Parliament to be illuminated in purple for Purple Night Romania

Published on

The Palace of Parliament will be illuminated in purple on Wednesday, to mark the Purple Night Romania initiative, a campaign dedicated to promoting the rights, well-being and inclusion of people with disabilities.

„The symbolic lighting of the building is carried out with the support of the health and family committee, at the request of the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce, as part of the commitment to promote public policies aimed at protecting the rights of people with disabilities and increasing the visibility of initiatives dedicated to inclusion,” a press release of the Chamber of Deputies reads.

Purple Night Romania is organised annually at an international level, with the participation of the Chamber of Deputies in this campaign representing a firm message of solidarity and respect for people with disabilities, as well as an approach to raising awareness of the importance of accessibility and social inclusion, the same source specifies.
