Number of construction permits for residential buildings decrease by almost 13% in ten months

The number of construction permits for residential buildings issued in Romania, in the first ten months of 2022, decreased by 12.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data published on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Agerpres reports.

According to statistics, between January 1 and October 31, 2022, 37,790 building permits were issued for residential buildings, and the decreases were recorded in all development regions.

Compared to October 2021, in the same period of 2022, there is a decrease both in the number of building permits issued for residential buildings (-22.8%), and in the total usable area (-1.4%).
