The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 4.622 billion RON in capitalization this week, that is 2.19%, and the value of share transactions increased by 13.22%, compared to the previous week, according to the data published by BVB, consulted by Agerpres.
The stock market capitalization reached 215.296 billion RON between January 30 and February 3, 2023, up from 210.674 billion RON between January 23 and 27, 2023.
Stock transactions generated a turnover of 116.574 million RON, up from 102.958 million RON, in the previous week.
The best trading day at BVB was Thursday, February 2, when a turnover of 34.296 million RON was recorded, and the worst day, Wednesday, February 1, with a transaction value of 14.382 million RON.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 12,275.89 points.
OMV Petrom shares were the most liquid ones on the BVB’s main segment, with transactions of 38.674 million RON and a price increase of 4.44%.
The shares of Banca Transilvania are also among top transactions, with trading of 28.021 million RON (-0.60%) and Proprietatea Fund – with 11.863 million RON (0.00%).
The most important increases in quotations were registered by the shares of Industrial Group Electrocontact (+15.00%), SIF Hotels (+14.95%) and Electromagnetica (+8.55%).
Significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Teraplast, with a decline of 7.18%, followed by those of Romcab (-6.12%) and Prebet (-5.61%).
