A number of 6,710,480 employment contracts were registered in Romania on February 20, 2023, of which 6,175,128 (92.02%) indefinite and 535,352 (7.98%) fixed-term, according to the data published by the Minister of Labour, Marius Budai, on his Facebook page, Agerpres informs.

Of the total number of contracts, 5,708,275 (85.07%) were full-time and 1,002,205 (14.93%) part-time.

In January, 6,675,261 employment contracts were registered, of which 5,677,446 were full-time (85.05%) and 997,815 (14.95%), part-time, compared to a total number of 6,569,214 contracts in the first month of last year, of which 5,509,115 (83.86%) full-time and 1,060,099 (16.14%) part-time.

„Record number of employment contracts in Romania: 6,710,480! Which proves, once again, that the measure of taxing part-time contracts (with the already known exceptions) has had a beneficial effect for employees whose contracts turned into full-time ones!,” the minister wrote on Tuesday on the social network.
