In a Twitter post on Saturday, he conveyed his „deepest condolences to the authorities and people of India in these times of grief and loss, caused by the tragic train crash in Odisha.”

At the same time, he extended his „wishes of swift recovery to the injured.”

„Romania stands with India in these difficult moments,” wrote Iohannis.
