Romanian tennis player Jaqueline Cristian qualified for the semifinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Prague, worth USD 259,303, on Friday, after beating Ukrainian player Katerina Baindl (ex-Kozlova), 6-4 1-6 6-2, write Agerpres.
Jaqueline Cristian (25 years, 122 WTA), who surprisingly defeated Czech Marie Bozukova, the main favorite, won after two hours and four minutes of play.
The only previous clash between Jaqueline Cristian and Katerina Baindl (29 years, 98 WTA) ended with the victory of the Romanian, 4-6 6-4 6-2 in July 2017, in the first round in Bucharest.
