Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu at the beginning of the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, requested the authorities involved in the assessment of the damage caused by the floods to quickly complete the centralization of the data, so that Romania can access the 1.5 billion euros already allocated from the European Solidarity Fund .
„The assessment of the damages is essential (…) and I want to have a clear information every week, that we fall within the final deadline of November 1,” Ciolacu said.

The government will support the acquisition by the Romanian Orthodox Church of two buildings in France and Italy, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Wednesday, specifying that the building in Paris will be transformed into a Romanian school and will contribute to „preserving the spiritual, cultural and linguistic identity of Romanians in France”, while the building in Rome will host a residential social center for mothers and children who come for treatment at the ‘Bambino Ges’ Pediatric Hospital.

The government will approve a RON 2 billion financial aid for the more than 230k farmers whose crops were affected by the drought, premier Ciolacu said.
„In addition, we are supporting more than 17,000 farmers to reduce costs for diesel fuel used in agriculture, amounting to 190 million RON,”, Ciolacu added.

The government will allocate almost 2 billion RON for projects included in the National Local Development Programme (PNDL) and the Angel Saligny Programme, and another 5.2 billion RON for works on the Moldavia motorway, the Transylvania motorway and the Bucharest belt, the prime minister announced.
Moreover, the National Construction Programme receives 300 million RON for the payment of the works already carried out, the prime minister added.

In addition, the premier said that the government on Wednesday will also approve 560 million RON to be allocated to county councils and district councils in Bucharest to ensure the financing of social services expenses. In this way, the most important expenses of the child protection system, centers for people with disabilities and homes for the elderly will be covered.
