The health system has been allocated approximately 600 million euros for digitization, from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the funds to be used for the implementation of solutions such as the PIAS system, telemedicine, eHealth and the digitization of hospital units, the minister of Investments and European Projects, Adrian Caciu, declared during the „Romanian Cyber Care Health – safety and trust for patients” conference, on Wednesday.
According to the minister, at the moment the system does not have a patient record that can be accessed from a secure level, „so that we know about that patient all his/her diagnosis, from birth to the present.”
He emphasized that we will have a brand new system, a digital system that has a correspondent with everyone, from the family doctor to each hospital, to each pre-hospital unit and completed including with data coming from the beneficiaries, from the Patients’ Association, and from those who can ensure the supply of medicines and equipment.
