The contract worth 1.28 billion RON (without VAT) for the design and construction of the Tokyo – Otopeni Airport section of Metro Line 6 was awarded to an association of constructors and designers from Turkey, the minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu announced on his Facebook page, Agerpres informs.
According to him, lot 1.2 (Tokyo – Otopeni Airport) of the M6 will have a length of 7.6 km. The financing of the contract is provided by funds from the state budget and JICA foreign repayable funds, and the works are scheduled to last 48 months from the date of issuance of the Commencement Order.
„Six metro stations will be built: Washington, Paris, Brussels, Otopeni, Ion I.C. Bratianu, Otopeni Airport. After completion, this lot will complete the route of Metro Line 6 and ensure the connection between the existing 1 Mai metro station and the Otopeni Airport,” noted Grindeanu.
The entire Line 6 of the Bucharest metro will have a length of 14.2 km and 12 metro stations.
According to a press release issued by Metrorex for AGERPRES on Tuesday, the winner of the limited tender organized for the award of the sectoral purchase contract for the said metro line was designated based on the award criterion „the best quality-price ratio”.
The winner of the award procedure is the Association Gulermak Aazir Sanayi Insaat Ve Taahhut A.S.- Somet SA.
„The information about the result of the award procedure was sent today, 28.02.2023, at 14.30 in the Public Procurement System (SEAP)”, Metrorex informs.
