Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu had a meeting on Monday with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar on the sidelines of the EU-Israel Association Council.
The meeting’s agenda included a wide range of topics regarding the bilateral political-diplomatic dialogue, cooperation within international formats, as well as an exchange of views on the security context in the Middle East, the Foreign Ministry said.
The two top diplomats praised the substantial content of the Romanian-Israeli dialogue, the reflection of which at economic and sectoral level is being constantly monitored.
The Romanian foreign minister also expressed his appreciation for the success of the efforts that led to the recent release of a Romanian-Israeli citizen, alongside another five Israelis who had been kept hostage in Gaza for over 16 months, the cited source said.
