Chairman of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) George Simion met on Tuesday with Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, as an American delegation is in Romania on an official visit, AUR said in a release.

According to the cited source, the AUR leader presented the „serious situation” created as a result of the annulment of last year’s presidential election.

„I made sure that the Republicans who are visiting Romania these days know everything about the blow dealt to democracy,” said George Simion, as cited in the release. Also participating in the meeting with the American officials on AUR’s behalf were deputies Ramona Ioana Bruynseels and Cosmin Corendea.

Also on Tuesday, AUR Chairman George Simion is scheduled to meet with Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles.
