Baccalaureate: 84.7% participation rate in Romanian Language and Literature written test, 25 candidates disqualified

The participation rate in Romanian Language and Literature written test at the August 2024 session of the National Baccalaureate Exam that took place on Monday was 84.7%.

According to the Ministry of Education, 14,853 candidates took the test out of a total 17,541 registered for this exam.

Also, 2,663 candidates failed to attend, and 25 candidates were disqualified for fraud or attempted fraud.

The exam continues on Tuesday with the mandatory subject tests and on Wednesday with the choice subject tests. The last written test – Mother tongue and literature – will take place on Thursday.

The first results will be posted in an anonymised manner next Monday by noon on the bacalaureat.edu.ro website and at the exam places.

Challenges can be submitted on the same day, between 12:00hrs and 18:00hrs both in standard and electronic format.

The final results of the second session of the Baccalaureate will be published on Friday, August 30.

In order to pass the Baccalaureate national exam, the following conditions have to be met cumulatively: the skills assessment test are taken, all the written tests are taken with at least a 5 grade in each of them and at least an average of 6 in the written tests.
