BEC sanctions more presidential bids, including Ciolacu, Orban’s

The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) on Sunday sanctioned more presidential bids filed over the past 48 hours.

These are the candidacies and electoral signs of the following candidates: Cristian Diaconescu, Cristian Terhes, Ana Birchall, Marcel Ciolacu, Silviu Predoiu, Ludovic Orban, Sebastian-Constantin Popescu and Alexandra-Beatrice Bertalan-Pacuraru.

The deadline for submitting the presidential candidacies is Saturday evening, at 24:00hrs.

According to the electoral calendar, on October 10 the candidacies remain final, but they can be challenged with the Constitutional Court in the meantime.
