The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 3.49 billion RON in capitalization, respectively 1.04%, last week, while the value of share transactions decreased by 69.92%, compared to the previous week.
According to the data published by BVB, consulted by AGERPRES, the stock market capitalization reached 339.724 billion RON, between May 20 and 24, 2024, up from 336.234 billion RON, between May 13 and 17.
Stock transactions generated a turnover of 321.583 million RON, down from 1.069 billion RON, in the previous week.
The best trading day at BVB was Monday, May 20, when a turnover of 92.815 million RON was recorded, and the worst day, Thursday, May 23, with a transaction value of 35.618 million RON.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 17,680.50 points.
Banca Transilvania shares were the most liquid securities on the main segment of BVB, with transactions of 81.549 million RON and a price increase of 3.99%.
In the top of the transactions are Hidroelectrica securities, with transactions of 44.245 million RON (1.41%), and OMV Petrom, with 34.034 million RON (3.37%).
The most important increases in quotations were recorded by the shares of SIF Hoteluri (36.36%), Romcab (11.19%) and Mecanica Ceahlau (+10.89%).
At the opposite pole, important decreases were recorded by Energopetrol shares, with a decline of 24.17%, followed by those of UAMT (-7.83%) and Electroaparataj (-7.83%).
