Bucharest Stock Exchange has gained almost 3.5 billion RON in capitalization last week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained last week almost 3.5 billion RON in capitalization, i.e. 1.03%, while the value of share transactions decreased by over 35 million RON (-8.4% ), compared to the previous week.

According to the data published by BVB, consulted by AGERPRES, the stock market capitalization reached 339.76 billion RON, in the period 3 – 7 May 2024, up from 336.28 billion RON, in the period 27 – 31 May 2024.

Stock transactions generated a turnover of 380.49 million RON, down from the value of 415.63 million RON, in the previous week.

The best trading day at BVB was Friday, June 7, when a turnover of 101.54 million RON was recorded, and the worst day, Tuesday, June 4, with a transaction value of 54.16 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 18,076.69 points.

Hidroelectrica shares were the most liquid securities on the BVB’s main segment, with transactions of 100.34 million RON and a price drop of 6.52%.

Banca Transilvania’s securities, with transactions of 81.47 million RON (+5.93%) and those of Romgaz, with 34.19 million RON (+10.61%), are also at the top of the transactions.

The most important price increases were recorded by Prebet Aiud (+37.85%), Antibiotice SA (+27.88%) and Transelectrica (+10.45%).

At the opposite pole, important decreases were recorded by the shares of SIF Hotels, with a decline of 20.93%, Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-13.98%) and Romcab (-8.81%).
