The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained RON 1.86 billion in capitalisation last week, with RON 52.49 million the value of share transactions, in the context in which there were only three trading sessions carried out during the week of April 29 – May 3, 2024, while there were four trading sessions carried out in the week May 6-10.
According to the data published by the BVB and consulted by AGERPRES, the stock market capitalisation reached RON 332.45 billion last week, up from RON 330.59 billion in the previous week.
Stock transactions generated a turnover of RON 181.71 million, between May 6 and 10, compared to RON 129.22 million between April 29 and May 3, 2024.
The best trading day at the BVB was Friday, May 10, when RON 51.15 million were recorded, and the worst was Thursday, May 9, with a transaction value of RON 37.11 million being recorded.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed the week at 17,292.08 points.
Banca Transilvania’s shares were the most liquid securities on the main segment of the BVB, generating transactions of RON 41.58 million, with a price increase, though, of 0.28%.
Banca Transilvania was followed by Hidroelectrica, with exchanges of RON 33.3 million RON, and a decrease in the price of shares by 0.22%, and OMV Petrom, with transactions of RON 26.48 million and an increase in the price for shares by 0.28%.
The most important increases in quotations were recorded by Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+13.41%), Artego (+8.05%) and Bermas (7.97%).
At the opposite side of the scale, significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Condmag, which registered a decline of 21.43%, followed by those of Electroarges Curtea de Arges (-15.696%) and Armatura (-12.4%).
