Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Friday’s session lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on almost all indices on Friday, with turnover amounting to 5.9 million lei (1.18 million euros) 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main index BET, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a decrease of 0.03%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded a decline of 0.01%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.03%, while the performance benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated by 0.04%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs showed an appreciation of 0.12%, while BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a decrease of 0.06%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.54%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in stock prices were recorded by Aeta (+14.55%), Uamt (+14.53%), and Mecanica Fina (+13.97%).

On the other hand, the stocks of Energopetrol (-14.81%), Romcab (-12.36%), and Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (-3.58%) were down.
